Wow, what a day it was! This past Saturday, May 4th, marked the 16th annual HomeGrown Live Music Festival in Kingston, and it was truly one for the books. We are thrilled to report that the event was a tremendous success, thanks to the tireless efforts and enthusiastic spirit of everyone involved.
Over the weekend, 16 venues across our vibrant city were alive with the sound of music. Over 130 musicians graced the stages, delivering performances that captivated audiences and filled the air with a shared sense of community and joy.
We extend our deepest gratitude to each musician who shared their talents with us. Your performances were the heartbeat of this festival, and we are endlessly appreciative of your contribution to Kingston's live music scene and to supporting Joe’s Music Mill.
A special shout-out goes to the venues that hosted the array of musical acts throughout the day. Your hospitality and support in providing spaces where art and culture flourish contributed immeasurably to the success of this event.
Our volunteers, you are the unsung heroes of HomeGrown Live! Your dedication and hard work behind the scenes ensured everything ran smoothly, from managing the bustling crowds to assisting the performers. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Lastly, we thank the organizers of HomeGrown Live for bringing us all together to celebrate the power of live music. Your vision and commitment to supporting local music education through Joe’s Music Mill truly made a difference, helping to keep music alive and thriving in our community.
Together, we’ve not only enjoyed a day filled with fantastic music but also rallied to support a great cause. We are excited to announce that all proceeds from the event will go directly to Joe's Music Mill, aiding in its mission to nurture the next generation of musicians.
Thank you, Kingston, for your unwavering support and enthusiasm. Let’s keep the music playing until we meet again next year for another incredible HomeGrown Live Music Festival!
